Betty White was the one constant in my television life. It seemed that she was always in something that I was watching, from The Carol Burnett Show to The Mary Tyler Moore Show to The Golden Girls (a show that helped me stay sane when I was in the hospital after my stroke). I even remember when she and her husband, Allen Ludden (who hosted Password in all its forms from the ’60’s forward), got married. (I think I was five and loved Password.) Sadly, she passed away on New Year’s Eve, providing the cherry on top of the crap sundae last year was, just 17 days shy of her 100th birthday. I saw the above this morning, and I can think of no better way to celebrate the life of this wonderful lady, who, like most of us, loved animals.

Linda Hill runs One-Liner Wednesday. She also runs Just Jot It January, of which this is a part.

And now a word from Snickers candy bar. You’re not you when you’re hungry.
She is an amazing Dame and I mean that in the English and the American way. She was great and had a hutzbah for living. I hope you like this video from James Lipton’s Inside The Actor’s Studio. I love his final questions he poses to her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GP_nYq_UR0

I like this idea for a tribute to her memory. She was a force to be reckoned with, and made me smile no matter what character she was portraying.

I loved her. I remember being so happy when she and Allen Ludden got married, and I was only 5 or 6. Like I said, it’s losing a member of the family.

A sad loss, and what a lovely way to remember her.

It’s what she would have wanted.

She was the best! If only we could all possess such a lightness of spirit. I hope a lot of people make the requested donation. She would be pleased. (We just watched The Proposal in her honor. She was such a delight in that role.)

I didn’t see The Proposal, so I’ll take your word for it. I hope January 17 is a roaring success.

I’ve seen that going around on Facebook and it is a great idea. I just might do it.

Even if it’s a nominal amount, I’m sure it would be appreciated.

Thus sounds like a perfect way to honor her. I too grew up with her as an important part of my life.
