A Great Idea! #1LinerWeds #JusJoJan

Betty White was the one constant in my television life. It seemed that she was always in something that I was watching, from The Carol Burnett Show to The Mary Tyler Moore Show to The Golden Girls (a show that helped me stay sane when I was in the hospital after my stroke). I even remember when she and her husband, Allen Ludden (who hosted Password in all its forms from the ’60’s forward), got married. (I think I was five and loved Password.) Sadly, she passed away on New Year’s Eve, providing the cherry on top of the crap sundae last year was, just 17 days shy of her 100th birthday. I saw the above this morning, and I can think of no better way to celebrate the life of this wonderful lady, who, like most of us, loved animals.

Linda Hill runs One-Liner Wednesday. She also runs Just Jot It January, of which this is a part.

And now a word from Snickers candy bar. You’re not you when you’re hungry.

  1. I like this idea for a tribute to her memory. She was a force to be reckoned with, and made me smile no matter what character she was portraying.

  2. She was the best! If only we could all possess such a lightness of spirit. I hope a lot of people make the requested donation. She would be pleased. (We just watched The Proposal in her honor. She was such a delight in that role.)
