Today’s prompt: What makes you laugh?
The answer is simple: The Three Stooges…
I’ve been watching Moe, Larry, Curly, Shemp, Joe, and Curly Joe for most of my 65 years, and I still find their antics funny.

They’re a lot funnier as you get older, because you understand the jokes better.

With me it would be the Marx Brothers in their first 5 movies.

Yes! I loved when they were chaotic and had anarchy…
Groucho loved A Night At the Opera….it was good but no where near Duck Soup.

All of them had solid writing, with George S. Kaufman or S.J. Perelman, and at least one had music by Kalmar and Ruby.
“I’d give you a parachute if I was sure it wouldn’t open.”
“Is OK, boss, I already got a pair o’ shoes.” Classice…

Some of the best lines ever. Kaufman wrote some great Broadway plays.
S.J. Perelman wrote my favorite Marx Brothers movie…Horse Feathers…
Some of the greatest lines ever

Believe it or not I actually saw them in person when I was quite young. My mom took me in to San Francisco to see a movie they were in and they happened to be making a special appearance there.

A friend of mine went to see them and was scared because he thought Moe would smack him. I think they probably came through Chicago, but we never saw them live.
