Linda tells us that my good friend Maggie over at "From Cave Walls" provided the word o’ the day, "freckled." Be sure and stop by Maggie’s place and say howdy…
Mom always said I should have been a redhead, because I have a redhead’s complexion, pale and easily burned in the sun. Another thing I have is freckles, on my arms, back, and face. Occasionally, I’ll look down at my arm and say "Oh, there’s a new freckle. At least, I think it’s a new one."
They do fade over time, and while I was heavily freckled in my younger days I’m not so much now. I kind of miss that…

Sheila spent a fortune to fade her freckles. While her skin looks terrific, I miss her freckles, though. A lot.

Not everyone finds them as attractive. Me, I never really gave it a second thought. Remember Mom used to sing that song “She has freckles on her but(t)… I love her…”?

I had freckles too but they have faded. I kinda liked them!

I learned they were just a fact of life. Where I lived, a lot of the kids had them, and we never thought about them.

I love a freckled face and a redhead combination! I had freckles on my face when I was younger. Now they are mostly on my arms.

All of mine on my arms have faded, but I still get new ones on top of the old ones, which now appear as an amorphous blob…

My Mama always told me my freckles made me beautiful. When people started saying my freckles were fading as I got older I panicked. 😱

Mine fade, but then I get new ones. Kind of an exchange program.

I grew up the same way, John. Not so bad.

My eldest son has red hair and pale skin and freckles. He’s in his late forties and has the best head of hair of all our boys!
