Here are Buddy Ebsen and Irene Ryan from *The Beverly Hillbillies* for Winston cigarettes. Winston tastes good, like a cigarette should!

Another quiet week here at Chez Holton. I haven’t been out in so long I actually don’t want to go out, crazy as that sounds.
Thank you to everyone who visited last week. I had just under 400 visitors on Thursday and Friday. I’m not used to that kind of popularity… but I could get used to it really quickly…
The badge contest for the A to Z Challenge is now closed to further entries. We’re going to get together and look at the entries soon and decide which we would like to use. There might be a runoff election, in which case you all get to choose which you like the best.
Which reminds me: I need to come up with a theme for this year’s Challenge. I usually have one by now. Maybe I’ll do what I did two years ago, where all my words started with re- followed by the letter of the day, only use a different prefix.
We’ll have another Battle of the Bands this Tuesday, the 15th, which would have been my dad’s 90th birthday. I need to figure out how to work that in.
Right now it’s time for

And that’s it for this edition of The Week That Was.

I sure did enjoy just about everything Buddy did but especially Barnaby Jones. Ah the 70s TV shows.

All the Quinn Martin shows, like “Cannon,” “Barnaby Jones,” “Streets of San Francisco,” etc. I don’r know if he did “Kojak,” but that’s another one.

I enjoyed all those shows. Probably because my dad did and we all watched as a family.

I think, to be honest, it is time to get out for a drive. It must be terribly difficult on you and your wife but fresh air and a change of scenery helps. I am someone who loves to stay inside but, once I am out, I value it. Ok..sorry, enough unwanted advice….I am amazed, now, how much cigarettes were plugged and everyone smoked. If you didn’t smoke, you were considered a weirdo. Now, it is the opposite

I’ve got my A to Z theme in my mind. Now I’ve got to start assembling the posts. I hope to start this next week.

I think I’ve got my theme set. It’ll be similar to what I did two years ago, but with a diferent prefix.

Thanks for the inclusion. We’re glad we can get out for our walks along the beach.

I have a feeling that fresh air and sunshine were the ultimate cure for the virus…

We keep out of people’s way that we don’t know but at least on the prom and the beach at this time of year there is plenty of space.

Wow! You are very popular! I don’t care if I go out either. The battery died in our car and we had AAA tow it 500 yards to our mechanic. We’re so lucky that where we live is close to everything. We had our groceries delivered and our neighbors picked up cigarettes for hubby (yes, he still smokes). While hubby was at the mechanic, I strolled around our complex because it was such a gorgeous day so there is my outing for the week.

It’s the same over here. We have shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, Home Depot, Starbucks, and AAA within 10 minutes of home, Door Dash goes just about anywhere, and we don’t have to leave the house…
