Today’s assignment is to pick a love song for what is dear to you. My world revolves around Mary, and the love she gives is dear to me. "Sweet Love" was written by Anita Baker, Gary Blas, and Louis A. Johnson and was on her second album, 1986’s Rapture. It is the quintessential "quiet storm" song. It reached #2 on the Black Singles chart, #3 on the Adult Contemporary chart, #8 on the Hot 100, #2 on the Canadian Adult Contempory chart, and #13 in the UK.

This is a great song and was so famous in its day. What a sweet post for your lady.

Thanks! Anita Baker is a little lady with a huge voice. This is still a favorite on smooth jazz stations.

I do too. The first time I heard this song, I stopped whatever I was doing and listened.
