For my "random" love song for today, I choose The Beatles’ "If I Fell," from the soundtrack of their 1964 movie A Hard Day’s Night (my favorite movie of all time). It was written mostly by John Lennon and credited to Lennon-McCartney. John sings the introductory verse and he and Paul sing the remainder in two-part harmony.

This is a really sweet and sensitive song. I love this scene from A Hard Day’s Night.

I think it’s one of the better songs they did, and “And I Love Her,” also from “A Hard Day’s Night,” is another. The whole soundtrack was tremendous…

This is a beautiful song with lovely harmonies. The first time I realized this is when I heard the version by The Chipmunks. I didn’t like the Beatles all that much at the time, but when the Dave Seville album came out I started listening more closely and became a big Beatles fan.

I wonder, if The Beatles were to do a cover of “The Chipmunk Song,” would people suddenly like The Chipmunks? Inquiring minds want to know!

If they were listening through my 14 year old ears then they might. Actually I can’t say I was a big fan of The Chipmunks, but I did like their sound enough when I heard them sing a Beatles song on the radio that I went out and bought their Chipmunks Sing the Beatles album. Only Chipmunks album I ever owned or probably listened to.

Loved A Hard Day’s Night and this song, as well.

That movie had some great music in it. And they were all comedians, and quick. Every time I see the movie, I think I see something I hadn’t seen before, ot a joke that made absolutely no sense the last twenty times I saw it suddenly makes sense…

You can probably get it through Amazon Prime or maybe get it on one of the many streaming services.
