Lent, of course, means "fish on Friday."

Linda runs One-Liner Wednesday. Now a word from McDonalds, who have brought their Filet-O-Fish sandwiches out of the freezer for a limited time!

i remember getting the ash on my forehead and some trickling down onto my nose. we probably had fish but i don’t recall. Leave it the Aussies to eat a fish unknown to science. I love that commercial

I thought that was especially funny, especially given that Australia seems to have a menagerie of animals you don’t find anywhere else. If anyone was going to have a fish unknown to science, it would have been them…

Funny one. Fish on Friday is still a big deal around here. There are as many Lenten Fish Fries as there are Catholic Churches, which is to say lots of ’em.

Same here. Our parish does Stations of the Cross followed by a fish fry.

I might be getting toward the age when I don’t have to follow those rules as strictly :). I remember fish on Friday and having to give up something for Lent. I’m not that practicing anymore.

Oh good. Takes lots of pressure off, right? I mean, aging has to be good for something! I’ll be 67 next week.
