You know, as much as I use art from The Simpsons here on the blog, you’d think I was a real fan. I use to see it when I was on the road, and thought it was okay, but I actually preferred King of the Hill (I was a big Boomhower fan).

Linda runs One-Liner Wednesday. Now here’s Dick Clark for Dr Pepper, hot or cold.
Abbie Johnson Taylor (whose blog you ought to be reading, if you’re not) and I were chatting about hot Dr Pepper the last day or so, so it was on my mind…
I never liked The Simpsons, though Lisa was okay at times. I think that was the daughter’s name. The show was a controversial issue in our house when my kids were young. Your post did make me chuckle. Marge has some scary eyes. I could tolerate King of the Hill a little easier.

I watched The Simpsons many years ago and then, got out of it. I still find them funny. Good ole Dick Clark who never aged. I was never into Dr. Pepper and, now, I don’t drink any pop…way too sweet. Have you seen this cartoon from Gary Larson’s “The Far Side”? It is so funny. https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fifunny.co%2Fpicture%2Fi-suddenly-on-a-national-talk-show-in-front-of-iI4PhXeA2&psig=AOvVaw2U1DLS3tH1moPCnU65oRHi&ust=1647541098685000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAsQjRxqFwoTCLjc-4Kfy_YCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAI. I hope you can see it. I laughed so much when I first saw it years back. I have no idea how to place the actual image here.

I would have liked to have seen that happen to Dick Clark, maybe right in the middle of New Year’s Eve or “The $20,000 Pyramid.”

Thank you, John, for sharing this. I tried Dr. Pepper Zero yesterday, and it’s not bad, although it’s not like the original. But it’s preferable to the alternative. I also miss Dick Clark, but I’m still not convinced that Dr. Pepper is good hot as well as cold. To each his own.

I loved Dr Pepper, but gave all soft drinks up about ten years ago. And yeah, I miss Dick Clark, too…
