Song of the Day: Marvin Gaye, “Trouble Man”

Singer, songwriter, and producer Marvin Gaye was born on this day in 1939. He wrote and performed the soundtrack from the 1972 Blaxploitation film Trouble Man, which starred Robert Hooks, Paul Winfield, and Paula Kelly. The album reached #14 on the US album chart and #3 on the R&B album chart; the single of the theme song reached #7 on the Hot 100 and #1 on the R&B chart.
