Happy heavenly birthday to Chicago Blues legend Muddy Waters, born MccKinley Morganfield in Rolling Fork, Mississippi on this day in 1913. Here’s a performance of his signature tune, "Got My Mojo Workin’," from a performance on German TV in 1976. He has his band from the 1970’s (Pinetop Perkins, piano; Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, drums; Calvin "Fuzz" Jones, bass; Luther "Guitar Junior" Johnson and Bob Margolin, guitars; and Jerry Portnoy, harmonica) and a guest appearance by Junior Wells at the end.
How can one not love this? I am so behind due to my new job and all the travelling.

He would have been 47 in that clip. He was only 70 when he died, which is really young in this day and age..
