Romanian nai (pan flute) player Gheorghe Zamfir, who performs as Zamfir, was born on this day in 1941. Most people I know first heard of him when he was selling an album of pan flute music on TV. "The Lonely Shepherd" was used in the movie Kill Bill.

  3. I never listened to his music other than in those commercials about his albums. Great album for my Z post if I had acquired it for my album collection.
