Five For Friday: RIP Bobby Rydell

Robert Louis Ridarelli, better known as Bobby Rydell, passed away due to complications from pneumonia this past Tuesday. Like Frankie Avalon and Fabian Forte, he was from Philadelphia, and in the ’80’s the three of them formed The Golden Boys. Here are his five Top Ten singles.

  1. Forget Him (1964)
  2. Volaré (1960)
  3. Swingin’ School (1960)
  4. Wild One (1960)
  5. We Got Love (1959)

Rest in Peace, Bobby Rydell. That’s Five For Friday for April 8, 2022.

  1. When I heard he passed away, I was still thinking he was this teenage heartthrob that never gets old, just like his music. It’s sad that so many from this era are passing away. It just doesn’t feel right.
