Song of the Day: Stevie Wonder, “Fingertips, Parts 1 & 2”

A week ago yesterday was the birthday of Stevie Wonder, who celebrated his 72nd. His career started in 1961, when he was just 11 years old, so his career has lasted over 60 years, so far. "Fingertips, Parts 1 & 2" reached #1 on the Hot 100 and the R&B chart in 1963.

  1. This is so cool especially with how young he was. Did he do this song when he was much older? If he did, I wonder if it would make a good BOTB spot-Same song, same artist, different age

  2. He did more by the time he was 21 that most do in a career. He is the definition of the word legend.

    1. Very true.

I saw him in the Newark Airport once. (He didn’t see me.) I wanted to go up and say hello, but it looked like he had a couple of bodyguards, so I thought better of it…
