WINN at 1240 AM in Louisville, Kentucky is now WLLV, broadcasting an Urban Gospel format. Currently, the station has reduced power to 530 watts 24 hours a day because they had to move the antenna to accomodate a sewer project. WINN-FM broadcasts on 104.9 FM with a Hot Adult Contemporary format from Columbus, Indiana, north of Louisville. Wikipedia has WINN-AM switching to a Country & Western format in 1965 and maintaining it until 1982, but this doesn’t look like Country & Western to me.
- Mike Nesmith, “Just A Little Love”
- Every Mother’s Son, “Come On Down To My Boat”
- Spanky & Our Gang, “Sunday Will Never Be The Same”
- Aretha Franklin, “Respect”
- The Fifth Estate, “Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead”
- Jon & Robin, “Do It Again A Little Bit Slower”
- The Mamas & The Papas, “Creeque Alley”
- The Lovin’ Spoonful, “Six O’Clock”
- Paul Revere & The Raiders, “Him Or Me”
- Janis Ian, “Society’s Child”
And that’s Top Ten Tuesday for June 7, 2022.
I remember most but not all of these, John, The Mamas & The Papas, “Creeque Alley” remains one of my favorite songs. It’s on my “Driving” playlist.

Great selection! I’ve forgotten many of them and interesting how certain songs trigger memories, both good and bad.

Just another enjoyable round of classic songs that are great to listen to. Some I know we’ll and hear often and some I am glad to listen to after many years of not hearing that song
