Song of the Day: Si Zentner & His Orchestra, “Up A Lazy River”

Trombonist and orchestra leader Simon (Si) Zentner was born on this day in 1917. I remember we had an album of his called The Stripper And Other Big Band Hits (1962) at home. Hoagy Carmichael’s "Up A Lazy River" was the title track from his fifth of five releases from 1962. The single was released in 1961 and reached #43 on the Hot 100.
