
KKBQ-FM is currently playing Country music, a successful format for them, having been nominated for a Country Music Award for Best Radio Station in a Large Market twice, winning once, win the NAB Marconi award twice, once for Country Station of the year and once for Major Market Station of the Year. This is right up my alley! How I danced the nights away with these songs. In fact, I have Billy Idol on my blog today, buy a different song. He was at my university in 1983 and have no clue how we got him but I was dancing only a few feet away from him. It was in a gym!

Mary had Styx (who were playing under a different name) playing a dance at her high school, and I saw Muddy Waters a couple of times in high schools. Particularly in their early days, bands would take any local gig they could get…. We had a band in Chicago called The New Colony Six, and they were on a kids’ show…
The woman in the clown suit is Elaine “Pandora” Mulqueen…
