    I jumped back to the ladies “Bein’ Green” sing-off. I’m sorry for missing that battle. Had I voted in that round I would have gone with Diana Ross but I wasn’t bowled over by either of the gals. They did too much talking and not enough singing to suit me. In the mens’ division as much as I like Tony Bennett, it was easy to knock him off the list simply mostly because his lounge style rendition didn’t work for me. Van Morrison’s jazzy version really grabbed my ear and I thought this is who I’m voting for until I clicked on Ray Charles’ video. The essence of his easy-going bluesiness with an orchestra accompaniment is a killer cover and I’m glad I didn’t rush my pick. I’m going with Ray Charles in this showdown. Have a bandtastic day, my friend!

  6. Ray and Tony’s versions were too slow. Too boring for me.

    Definitely I give my vote to Van Morrison. Loved the album it came from and he really puts life and soul into his version.
