Song of the Day: Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross, “Everyday I Have The Blues”

Annie Ross, one-third of the jazz singing trio Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross, was born on this day in 1930. Here they are with blues singer Big Joe Williams, accompanied by Count Basie (piano), Freddie Green (guitar), Ed Jones (bass), and Sonny Payne (drums) singing "Everyday I Have The Blues" on a 1959 episode of Playboy After Dark.

    1. She did have a great voice for jazz. Hugh Hefner, to his credit, got the biggest names in jazz for Playboy After Dark. Whatever you think of him otherwise, he put together a great show.
