Here you’ve all been, waiting with bated breath to find out who the winner of last week’s Battle of the Bands was, and it completely slipped my mind. To refresh your memory, the song was Edith Piaf’s “La Vie En Rose,” and the contestants were Paola Hermosín and the Gypsy swing band Jolie Môme. fronted by singer Myriam Phiro. In light voting, here are the results.
Paola Hermosin – 1
- Birgit
Jolie Môme featuring Myriam Phiro – 4
- Arlee
- Willow
- Bluebird
- Tom
Congratulations toJolie Môme and a pat on the back for Paola.
My next Battle of the Bands will most likely be September 1, depending on how I feel. See you then! Myriam, sing us out…
I am the lone holdout..YES!!! Hahahaaa. I just preferred her.

Listen to some of her other stuff. She’s a superb guitar player who doesn’t limit herself to classical or pop music. Some of her more recent videos border on jazz, and she also plays steel-string acoustic, electric, and ukulele. She’s young, knows her stuff, and is a very cheerful individual. I sent her a few bucks and got the nicest email from her. All that, and she’s very cute…

Obviously, I missed this battle. I can see or should I say hear why Jolie Môme featuring Myriam Phiro won. I’ll watch for your next BOTB. Have a bandtastic day, my friend!

The outcome was as it should have been–at least according to me.
