
Chrissie Hynde, lead singer and guitarist for the rock group The Pretenders, was born on this day in 1951. “Don’t Get Me Wrong,” from the band’s fourth studio album, 1986’s Get Close, reached #1 on the US Mainstream Rock chart, #10 on the Hot 100 and in the UK, #8 in Australia, and #14 in Canada in 1986.
