I want to remind everyone that we have a Battle of the Bands currently active, with guitarist Samantha Fish and organist Lucky Peterson fighting it out over Howlin’ Wolf’s “Who’s Been Talkin’.” If you want to vote this round, make sure you do so by Thursday at noon, when I’ll announce the winner. No purchase necessary, void where prohibited.
It’s cooled off considerably here, with temperatures in the upper 70’s and low 80’s (roughly 24 to 29 C) and low humidity. Of course, with the approaching official start to autumn, it’s going to get hot and humid again. And the autumn pollen season started already…. I’m glad I stay in.
And that’s about all the news. As I said, I don’t get out much, so I haven’t heard anything new, exciting, or scandalous, as Grandma Holton used to say. So let’s move on to…

And that’s it for this edition of The Week That Was.

My nose has been needing kleenex. I used to have these freezies but my favouite was always the homemade ones my mom made with orange juice.

They’re real simple to make, nothing more than frozen juice, kind of like Popsicles. Very refreshing during the summer.
