MMMM: Harvest Time

Today’s prompt is brought to us by Sandee over at Comedy Plus:

October is the month of “Bounty’. Other similar words plentiful blessings, harvest… don’t limit yourself look for ways to expand the prompt other than song titles. use Lyrics, album names, or artist/band names. Recommended by Sandee from Comedy-Plus

Accordingly, most of my choices this week either have “harvest” in the harvest or on the band name. For those that don’t, there’s some connection to farming, or reaping. It’s time for ten in a row…

  1. Otis Rush, “Reap What You Sow”
  2. Dan Schutte, “Come With Me Into The Fields”
  3. The Band, “King Harvest”
  4. Muddy Waters, “Can’t Get No Grindin'”
  5. King Harvest, “Dancing In The Moonlight”
  6. Shaman’s Harvest, “In Chains”
  7. Steeleye Span, “Harvest”
  8. Blue Öyster Cult, “Harvest Moon”
  9. Barclay James Harvest, “Love On The Line”
  10. Leon Redbone, “Shine On Harvest Moon”

And that’s Monday’s Music Moves Me for October 3, 2022.

Monday’s Music Moves Me is sponsored by Cathy, Alana, and Stacy, so be sure and visit them, where you can also find the Linky for the other participants.

  1. I didn’t know that many of the songs. It was a pleasure rediscovering “In Chains”. We both picked “Shine On Harvest Moon” but I had never heard Leon Redbone’s cover. His voice was perfect for this song. I also enjoyed The Band’s entry. Alana ramblinwitham

  2. John,

Excellent playlist! I listened to it in its entirety while making homemade biscuits. Thanks for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor this week, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!

  3. These are great and never thought there were so many. The first one that came into my head was the Neil Young song. I love Leon Redbone…such a unique voice.
