Guitarist, singer, and songwriter Thomas McClary, one of the founding members of the 1970’s soul/funk band The Commodores, is celebrating his 73rd birthday today. Dave Thompson, writing in Rolling Stone magazine, calls his guitar solo in “Easy” “one of the best solo guitar performances of all time.” The song reached #1 on the Soul/R&B chart and #4 on the Hot 100 in 1977.
This is a good song to sit back and listen to.
