Di is, once again, standing in for Melanie, who we hope and pray is getting better, not because Di is doing a bad job (she’s handled this assignment very well, in fact), but because we all love Melanie and want nothing but the best for her. Anyway, Di’s question for today:
Do you find time goes faster as we age?
I think it feels like it’s going faster, because an hour when you’re 66 is different from an hour when you’re 16. At 66, you’ve lived about 864,000 hours, whereas at 16 you’ve only lived 146,000 hours, and a lot of those 146,000 were spent doing things like learning long division, memorizing dates in history, and conjugating Latin verbs, all of which can make time drag on for hours and hours.
Why did the guy throw the clock out the window? He wanted to see time fly.

Hi John – yes time does fly – well for me at least it does … I guess if I followed my mother’s suggestion … get on with things and do what you have to do today, don’t leave it – I’d be in a less rushed position all the time! Cheers Hilary

That clock is hilarious! Yes, it feels faster. I thought it room forever before Christmas came around but now it feels like I just put the stuff away only to bring the Xmas decor back. Time is relative…if one sits in front of a boring movie, it feels like you have been sitting there for 6 hours even if the movie is only 90 min. Long. On the other hand, you can sit through a 3 hr film and be amazed how time flew by.

A 90-minute movie can feel like “six hours of my life I’ll never get back.” I like it!

That’s an old kids’ joke, but then I’m kind of an old kid…
