So Long, Melanie…

I want to take a minute and acknowledge the death of our friend Melanie, proprietress of Sparks From A Combustible Mind. I knew she was ill, but I guess I had no idea just how sick she was.

My condolences to all her friends, and especially to her little guy Ziggy, who she frequently said was her greatest joy and comfort. I hope he finds a good home. He deserves one.

Di has volunteered to keep her two blog hops (Share Your World and Truthful Tuesday) alive. I personally can’t think of a better person to do it, and I can’t think of a better way to honor her memory.

I remember when she started reading my blog, she said she liked how I ended some of my entries with "see you in the funny papers." So…

Melanie, Godspeed, and rest in the peace you so richly deserve. We love you and we’ll miss you. See you in the funny papers…

  3. I’m very sorry to hear of her passing. I never followed her but, from reading your blog and Cathy’s, made me think she must have been quite ill. You have given her a nice tribute
