Hawaiian steel guitarist Sol K. Bright was born on this day in 1909. He started his musical career in the late 1920’s as a member of Sol Ho’opi’i’s Novelty trio before forming his group, The Hollywaiians. "Hawaiian Cowboy" is his most famous composition.
