MMMM: The Ten Song Challenge, Xmas Edition

As usual, it was Sunday night, and I had no idea what I was going to do for MMMM. Then I happened upon a couple of blog posts that challenged people to try to fill in the blanks with the name of a song. The original idea came from Jade, also known as Lisa, who had nine categories on her list. Paula added a tenth, which as we all know is the length of a playlist. I thought, “hm, maybe I could do that and use Christmas songs…”

I had to stretch in a couple of places, but managed to fill in all ten slots, thus building my playlist.

  1. Something to wear: Pentatonix, “Deck The Halls” (“don we now our gay apparel”)
  2. A Place: Frank Sinatra, “O Little Town Of Bethlehem”
  3. An animal: Carrie Underwood, “Do You Hear What I Hear” (“said the night wind to the little lamb…”)
  4. A Number: Ray Coniff Singers, “The Twelve Days Of Christmas”
  5. A Color: Burl Ives, “Silver And Gold”
  6. A girl’s name: Kenny Rogers and Wynonna Judd, “Mary, Did You Know”
  7. A boy’s name: Gene Autry, “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer”
  8. Profession: King’s College Choir, “While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks By Night”
  9. Day of the week: The Chuck Wagon Gang, “Christ Is Born Today” (see what I did there?)
  10. Food: Steeleye Span, “The Boar’s Head Carol”

Hope you liked this! That’s Monday’s Musifc Moves Me for December 12, 2022.
