English guitarist Albert Lee is 79 today. He’s best known for his fingerstyle and hybrid-picking technique (which involves using the pick and the fingers of the right hand to play the strings). He won Guitar Player magazine’s “best Country Guitarist” in its annual reader poll five times, and is recognized for his speed and technial prowess. “Fun Ranch Boogie” is from his 1988 album Gagged But Not Bound.
