Happy 82nd birthday to guitarist Jorma Kaukonen, guitarist for Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna. He started Hot Tuna with bassist Jack Casady as a side project, and it’s a partnership that’s lasted over 50 years. They went electric in the early ’70’s as Jefferson Airplane fell apart. “Keep On Truckin'” is from their first studio album and their third album overall, 1972’s Burgers. The band featured Kaukonen, Casady, violinist Papa John Creach, and drummer Sammy Piazza. It became a minor hit on FM stations.
I like this much better than the Eddie Kendricks song of the same name.

The Kwndricks song wasn’t one of my favorites. I liked “Boogie Down” better.
