When they aren’t experts, it doesn’t matter if they’re wrong, because you don’t expect them to be right.

It’s when they say they’re experts, that I get annoyed. I shouldn’t have to do research and fact-checking when reading the news or non-fiction.

One time, I saw some woman (“Dr.” something) on TV dispensing psychological advice. When they put her name up on the screen followed by Ed. D. Kind of made me question her qualifications…

Exactly. You have to figure out for yourself whether or not to believe anything they say.
