Today, Bee wants "A Love Song specific to you and your spouse…" I used to sing this to Mary when we was courtin’. This was from the 1971 debut album by Loggins & Messina, Sittin’ In.

No wonder Mary married you. You’ve got good taste.

You picked a fine courting song. Anne Murray did an amazing cover a couple of years later, for years I wasn’t even aware of the original.

Anne Murray is quite the chanteuse. I have another Kenny Loggins song sung by her on for tomorrow (Sunday).

This really is a beautiful song, John. Kenny wrote this for his older brother Danny Loggins to mark the birth of Danny’s first son Colin. Most of the lyrics came from a letter Kenny received from Danny, who was planning to marry Colin’s mother and was in the middle of moving his new family to California. Though the young couple had no money, the two had plenty of hopes and dreams.
