
Today, Bee wants "a love song about a child’s love." From out of the deepest recesses of my mind, I remembered this one from late 1969. "Don’t Cry, Daddy" was written by Scott (Mac) Davis and recorded by Elvis in 1969. It and the flip side, "Rubberneckin’," both rose to #6 on the Hot 100 in January 1970. Daughter Lisa Marie Presley (RIP) recorded a version where she sang with her Daddy in 1997. Here’s that version.
