Today’s prompt is "choose your own."
I always thought this would be a great song for a couple’s first dance at their wedding. It’s written by Van McCoy, who about ten years later would write "Do The Hustle." It reached #11 on the Hot 100, #5 in the R&B chart, and #7 in Canada. From 1965, Barbara Lewis, "Baby, I’m Yours."
That’s beautiful 🤗

I listen to this song and I am right back in 1965. Thank you.

Glad you liked it, I don’t see why it isn’t played at more weddings…

This is from the same guy who wrote the Hustle? Wow! This is a nice song and perfect for a wedding.

McCoy has 700 songwriting credits (Wikipedia sez) to his name and didn’t live to see 40.

I agree! Maybe I’ll use it if we renew our vows. We never had a wedding reception really since we were married in Lake Tahoe and just had a lunch after the ceremony and then everyone went gambling – LOL

Of course! What else do you do in Lake Tahoe?

Isn’t it, though? Like I said, it’d be a great song for a newly-married couple’s first dance.
