This is the last day of Love Is In Da Blog 2023, and I want to thank Bee for inviting me to participate again this year. Today’s theme is "your choice," and I’ve chosen a song from 1968, "La La (Means I Love You)" by The Delfonics. It’s an early example of Philly Soul, and in fact was issued on Philly Soul Records and was written (with William Hart) and produced (with Stan Watson) by Philly soul legend Thom Bell. It reached #4 on the Hot 100 and #2 on the R&B/Soul chart in 1968, and reached #19 in the UK in 1971.

That is a great sound. Never heard of Philly Soul but might check it out. Thanks so much for joining us. It was so much fun and an honour to host you all. 💕
