MMMM: Midnight

How about ten songs with "midnight" in the title?

Maria Muldaur, “Midnight At The Oasis”

Melissa Manchester, “Midnight Blue”

J. J. Cale, “After Midnight”

Ella Fitzgerald, “Round Midnight”

Wilson Pickett, “In The Midnight Hour”

Gladys Knight & The Pips, “Midnight Train To Georgia”

Johnny Rivers, “Midnight Special”

The Rolling Stones, “Midnight Rambler”

The Grass Roots, “Midnight Confessions”

The Allman Brothers Band, “Midnight Rider”

And that’s Monday’s Music Moves Me for March 13, 2023.

Monday’s Music Moves Me is sponsored by Cathy, Alana, and Stacy, so be sure and visit them, where you can also find the Linky for the other participants.

  1. John,

I miss your playlist. Are you trying to escape Google’s clutches, too? This is a great idea for theme. You picked some excellent “midnight” song titles. I just love Melissa Manchester “Midnight Blues”. Gladys Night & the Pips “Midnight Train to Georgia” is a fabulous oldie and I always liked “Midnight Confession” The Grass Roots. This is a great set of songs. Thanks for sharing and for joining the 4M party, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!

    1. I think I just got tired of hearing “I can’t play your playlist! It stops three songs in!” and of seeing playlists that I worked hard on partially disappear because UMG or BMG yanked the song off of YouTube or because the person who posted it either closed his/her account or Google gave them the heave-ho for whatever reason. I’d prefer to use Spotify for playlists, but not everyone uses it and people complain they can’t find the playlist. I will try to remember to build the YouTube playlist anyway….

Anyway, I’m glad you liked the songs I picked!

      1. John,

Please, don’t do anything special on my account. Whatever works the easiest for you, then do it. Don’t worry about it, ok? I’d love to find a great alternative to YT. Is Spotify free? I think I had an account once upon a time.

        1. There is an ad-supported version of Spotify that’s free. You just have to listen to the ads and there are some other limitations, mostly things like how many songs you can skip in a row. The Premium service is $10 a month, reasonable enough…
