A couple of years ago, for the A to Z Challenge’s 10th anniversary, I chose to use words that had the letter X in them, because X is 10 in Roman numerals. This year, I thought about doing the same thing using the letter Z, and found that it was easier than I thought it would be, so I tried Q, and was unable to come up with a complete word list. Finally, I tried J, and voila! I was able to come up with a word for each letter of the alphabet that contained a J.
So, that’s my theme for this year: Words that contain the letter J.

It’s the first letter of my name, and it’s the third-least frequently-used letter in the English language. I’ll save Q and Z for a later challenge.
I’ve seen some great themes so far! This year should be great!
Hi J for John – I look forward to your entries … cheers Hilary

I think if it weren’t for names we wouldn’t need J at all…

Yay “J”! I’m biased since my (real) last name begins with a “J”. All of my brothers and sisters had first names that started with “J”. I was the odd one out since I was named after my father.
Creative theme. I’ve now put up my own theme along with another midmonth Battle of the Bands post.

I didn’t realise it was so unused. Poor J. As my middle name starts with a J, I obviously use it more than most 🙂
