KOOK (pronounced "cook") in Billings, Montana went on the air in 1951 and presumably was a Top 40 station until 1998, when they changed to KBUL and broadcast a country format. They’re now a news-talk station simulcasting on 103.7 FM. And that’s about all I could find out about them, though I did find this ad from 1981:

We had a disc jockey at KQV in Pittsburgh named Jim Quinn and he played that every day when his show started.

I think I heard “A Question of Temperature” for the first time yesterday myself. A lot of times I won’t recognize the song until I play it, and I thought that might the case with this one but… nope…
