Interstate Highway 95 can best be described as speed and stupidity with no redeeming value whatsoever.

Read the whole thing. You don’t have to go to Florida to experience a lot of this traffic stuff. Come to the Chicago area for much of the same.

I’ve been on almost every Interstate that ends in 5 (I 45 being the one I’ve missed), and they’re all a mess. Come to think of it, most of the ones that end in 0 are awful…

I95 has been around a long time … and it shows! Fortunately I only need to drive it once a week.

It was probably one of the first Interstates built.

Lots of history there. Think it was once called the Old Boston Post Road

Interesting… I bet there are lots of stories like that. I know that a number of the Interstates replaced Route 66. Surprised that they didn’t do the same with US 41, which goes all the way from the tip on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan all the way to Miami…

He’s writing from the south, but there is no redeeming value to be found here in the north either. When I head south, I take the train.
