Song of the Day: Homesick James, “Shake Your Money Maker”

Blues singer and slide guitarist "Homesick" James Williamson was born on this day in either 1905, 1910, or 1914. He claims to have been a cousin of another slide guitarist, Elmore James, and worked in Elmore’s band as well as with Sonny Boy Williamson II. This is from a compilation album, Chicago Blues Festival ’70, where he’s joined by Elmore, Roosevelt Sykes on piano, and Eddie Taylor on a third guitar. This is "Shake Your Money Maker."
