Agnetha Fältskog, who sang with ABBA or that band’s duration, was born on this day in 1950. "Waterloo" was the first song released on the Atlantic label in the US, and the first song to be credited to ABBA. The song won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 and peaked at #6 in the US.
I love ABBA and all of their music!

I love ABBA and I love Eurovision. It’s no surprise they won in 74 – it would have ticked all the right boxes.

You had me a A…lol. I love ABBA as you know and this was their breakout hit. The clothes…well…it just wouldn’t be ABBA.

Terrific, John. My wife and two neighbors did an ABBA act in a neighborhood talent show and took first place singing Waterloo.

ABBA is one of my favorite groups. They are about as “modern” as I get.

I go a little further, to about 1995 (so 20 years?), but I know how you feel.

One of my favorites. I love ABBA, in part because my mom used to play a record of their greatest hits quite often.
