The Springtime Week That Was

This edition of The Week That Was is brought to you by Parliament cigarettes, the mouthpiece cigarette!

Another year’s A to Z Challenge is behind us, except for the road trip, which starts next Monday. Watch the A to Z Challenge blog for details!

If you haven’t voted in this week’s Battle of the Bands, you have until tomorrow at noon.

Things are going well here. I’m over the pain I had in my back that sent me to the E/R a couple of weeks ago, though we’re waiting until I get a little stronger before I move back upstairs. We’re having remodeling done to the bathroom to eliminate the step up into the shower, which will make life much easier for us to get in and out, and we’re happy about that. The sooner we get the contractor started, the sooner life gets back to normal, whatever that is. In the meantime, we have a hospital bed for me in the living room. Not exactly my favorite, and in fact we have a new Sleep Number bed in the bedroom that I’m looking forward to trying out.

That’s all the news here, so let’s move on to

And that wraps up this edition of The Week That Was.

  1. I bet you and your wife will be happy to get rid of that bed. It will be nice to sleep in your new bed. Is that the type of bed you can put a number to and you xan make the bed softer or harder? I’m so glad you are feeling better.

  2. Glad your back is better…I was walking again everyday and then suddenly my lower back went crazy…I walked like Groucho Marx for a couple of weeks while I was taking a break from blogging.

      1. Ok…I’ve had it there also but mostly in my lower back. I’m glad you are feeling better. The last time I had to get 8 shots into my back to loosen it up.
John when I was a young man at 18…I yanked a pallet jack from underneath a pallet and I hurt my back bad. The doctor said at the time… for now on…if you walk off a curve wrong it might happen. He was right!
