Jazz pianist and composer Carla Bley celebrates her 87th birthday today. She works frequently with her husband, bass player Steve Swallow, such as in this 1992 performance of her composition "Ad Infinitum," which also features saxophonist Andy Sheppard.

Interesting tune! Apparently, Carla Bley is still active. BTW, I coincidentally learned that today is Eric Burdon’s birthday as well. He turned 82. I’ve always loved his vocals. Not sure about his status.
