British musician, singer and songwriter Steve Winwood turns 75 today. It seems he’s been around forever, having recorded with The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith and as a solo artist. His single "Higher Love" is from his 1986 album Back In The High Life and reached #1 on the Hot 100 and the Mainstream Rock charts in the US, #1 in Canada, and #13 in the UK.
We saw him once as an opening act for Tom Petty. Great song.

Great song. As Willow pointed out, the song is ageless.

I always think of him as a blues person and no idea why. This was a big hit in the day. I enjoyed hearing it again.

The Spencer Davis Group and Traffic were kind of blues-oriented, so that might be where it comes from. Glad you liked it!
