MMMM: Word

Today’s theme is "one word," either one-word song titles or one-word bands. I figured out that many of my one-word song titles were done by bands with one-word names. Anyway, here are ten of them, and for those of you who prefer a playlist, you can find it here.

Ambrosia, “How Much I Feel”

Bread, “If”

Chicago, “Beginnings”

Astrud Gilberto, “Corcovado”

The Ides of March, “Vehicle”

Jethro Tull, “Aqualung”

Antonio Carlos Jobim, “Brazil”

Madonna, “Angel”

NOVA, “Wave”

Starbuck, “Moonlight Feels Right”

And that’s Monday’s Music Moves Me for May 15, 2023.

Monday’s Music Moves Me is sponsored by Marie, Cathy, Alana, and Stacy, so be sure and visit them, where you can also find the Linky for the other participants.

  1. As usual, you came up with a wonderful mix of styles. Some I knew; some I didn’t, and, of the songs new to me, I really enjoyed Nova’s song. I had to look them up on You Tube. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. Nova is a great bossa nova band. About once a month they come out with a new video (usually on Friday afternoon), and if you get their newsletter they announce when the next will be a day or two ahead so you can plan to be there. They’re real fan-oriented…

  2. JOHN YOU’RE THE BEST IN MY BOOK & YOU KNOW THAT!!! So with that being said I’m going to put this music on in the background for me so I kind fix up another Post! Thank you for such great music dear friend! Keep up the good work! I don’t know what I’d do if I hadn’t met such a great man like yourself. Thank you for being my friend!!! YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL HUSBAND HERE MRS!!!!! You got it all John!!! Talk at ya later!

  3. I love all of these and an eclectic mix which is what I love. From Chicago to that gal singing that famous song…love the change.

  4. Thought for sure you would have used “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” – Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andrews. I think I spelled that correctly.

  5. John,

DH’s good friend, Tony sang “If” at our wedding. Bread was one of our favorite bands during our courtship years and still are one of our favorites. I love those old classic 70s bands! Great playlist. Thanks for joining the 4M party this week, dear friend. Have a boogietastic week!
